碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 輪機工程研究所 / 106 / Low insulation monitors are extensively used in marine three-phase three-wire insulated supply systems to monitor the insulation values of the different phases of the power distribution system for the ship hull, in order that marine engineers can instantly know the insulation situation of the switchboard bus and load phase cables as reference for low insulation or short circuit fault clearance and repair. However, present low insulation monitoring devices only give a caution about the phase category of the low insulation condition, while the feeder circuit with insulation abnormality cannot be accurately found. In order to shorten the time for locating low insulation areas for engineers to maintain the operational safety of a ship’s power system, this thesis proposes a ship AC distribution fault location analysis model. This thesis analyzes the marine cable length, insulation resistance, and the effectiveness of different insulation detection methods, the traditional ground insulation monitoring warning system is improved by using fundamental circuit components and manual inspection, and the actual circuit is simulated to judge system feasibility, while the low insulation locations are identified by manual control. The experimental analysis results are proposed to confirm the execution efficiency of the method proposed in this thesis, and marine insulation control system manual inspection will be improved for use in modern commercial ships in the future.
