Study on Value Chain Analysis of White Shrimp(Litopenaeus vannamei) Aquaculture Industry in Taiwan / 我國白蝦養殖產業價值鏈之研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 海洋事務與產業管理研究所 / 106 / The purpose of this study is to analyze the industry's views on the various stages of the white shrimp culture industry value chain through the importance and satisfaction questionnaire, and finally propose the industry adjustment and optimization of appropriate measures and strategies as a reference for the fishery policy. The results of the study are listed below:
1.The current white shrimp culture model in Taiwan can be divided into single-culture and polyculture. The main aquaculture production areas are mainly in the south-central region. The annual production is maintained at an average of 10,826 metric tons and the output value is 1,974,089 thousand. Most farmers will completely hand over the white shrimp to the wholesaler for sale, causing the wholesaler to control the market price. In addition, the overall industry faces problems such as low breeding rate, low price, different product quality, and lack of marketing concepts.
2.In the aquaculture industry value chain, although the farmers have the highest input costs, the profits are not satisfactory. On the contrary, the highest value-added ratio is the secondary industry. The status of the farmers in the aquaculture industry value chain is relatively unfavorable. The value change of each link of the white shrimp culture industry value chain, its cost and profit performance may affect the increase or decrease of value.
3.From the analysis of the importance degree, it is found that the breeding industry pays great attention to the breeding rate of white shrimp, which is also the most important facet of the white shrimp farming industry, but it does not pay much attention to human management. The results of the satisfaction analysis show that the basic operations and equipment are an indispensable component in the breeding process and the most important facet for supporting the main activities.
4.The competition environment of the white shrimp culture industry value chain shows that the supplier has the highest bargaining power and can most influence the white shrimp farming industry. For the aquaculture industry, although the competition of the industry, the threat of potential entrants and substitutes is low, but the problem of the inability to increase production and the rising cost of breeding, the bargaining power of the consumers facing limited supply is limited.
