碩士 / 國立高雄師範大學 / 工業科技教育學系 / 106 / The purpose of this study are to findout the gap between internship plan and the needs of students, and to understand how overseas internship experience can affects the student's willingness to stay in the same industry or their future career choices. The study results can be used as a reference for planning student’s overseas internship in the future.
This study uses the method of qualitative data analysis which was carried out by in-depth interviews, teachers' Vietnam visiting reports, and students' overseas internship learnning experience reports. The study objects include teachers, students, and business executives who are involved “ Vietnam Furniture Industry Seed breeding Program – during the period of June to August 2017, in Vietnam wood industry company, a six-week internship for junior college students. Semi-structured in-depth interview method is conducted and has an interview outline revised by the experts before interviewed to increase the validity. We let the respondents check results after interview recordind file was transformed to transcript. Next, we do concept extraction, classification, data analysis, and test analyst's reliability. At last, the data analysis is corrected by triangulation to confirm the authenticity and correctness of the data. In this study, it can be found that teachers, industry executives and intern students all have common ideals for shortening the gap between university and industry, and nurturing talents. The experience of overseas internship is a positive meaning for students, and it also affects their follow-up learning planing even the career choices in future. However, for them three, the focus is not exactly the same on internship expectation target. It is necessary to clarify and to refine the training program in the follow-up processing, which will help the future internship programs.
