Preliminary survey on marine sponge diversity and associated fungi producing indole acetic acid around aquaculture farms in southern Taiwan / 臺灣南部海水養殖場周遭環境海綿多樣性及其內共生真菌產IAA初探

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 生物科學系研究所 / 106 / In recent years, the sponge-related researches become more important, such as the applications of the secondary metabolites from sponges, the sponge-associated microbes and bioremediation. However, the biodiversity and ecological studies had been more ignored due to the difficulties of classification and identification of sponges, therefore, we set 15 sampling sites to investigate the sponge biodiversity, water survey and sponge-symbiotic fungus around the wastewater drains neighbouring the aquaculture farms nearby the Linyuan marine wetland park in Kaohsiung City, and marine aquaculturefarm in Linbian in Pingtung County from September 2017 to August 2018. In the investigated period, we found 13 demosponges and 1 calcispongiae including Clathrina, Haliclona, Halichondria, Hymeniacidon, Pseudosuberites, Pseudospongosorites, Tethya, Vosmaeria, Suberites nine genus, and Suberites diversicolor Becking & Lim, 2009, Pseudosuberite aff. digitatus, Tethya aff. robusta and Pseudosuberite aff. Digitatus were the new recorded species in Taiwan. The results of water analysis showed all the sampling sites were highly affected by the pollutions from the nearby aquaculture farms, especially the value of nitrate and phosphate were all higher than the adjacent sea. In the fungal isolation, Yarrowia lipolytica、Candida sp.、Debaryomyces sp. and Galactomyces sp. had been found and proved that could produce IAA by L-tryptophan, and the highest IAA producing were observed on Yarrowia lipolytica (D21-TMC0501), the highest concentration was 608mg/L. This study was the first records showed that fungui could produce IAA by L-tryptophan in sponge, and it might not only show a complicated symbiotic mechanism between sponge and microbes and the microbial communities, also reveal great biological resources in around the aquaculture farms.
