A Study on the Factors Affecting Entry Mode Decisions and Business Strategies of Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland / 影響東京迪士尼樂園及上海迪士尼樂園進入模式及經營策略因素之研究

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 企業管理學系研究所 / 106 / Nowadays, it is more and more common that people spend their spare time in the amusement park. Base on the annual reports from the Themed Entertainment Association, we can learn that the top 10 attendance mostly related to “Disney”, as a result, Disneyland is indeed a major role in the theme park industry worldwide. So far, there are six Disneyland in the world, especially the one in Japan is the first Disneyland that outside of the United States, and now, the newest one is in Shanghai, China.
The purpose of this research is to discuss the differences of business strategies between Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland, and also to find out what are the main factors that affect the entry mode decision of two Disneyland. Hopefully, the result can provide some useful suggestions for the international service industry in the future. By using secondary analysis to analyze Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland, the conclusions and suggestions are as followed.
1. We cannot judge any kind of international market''s entry mode, and there is no best entry mode or best strategy, either. We only can find out the most suitable business strategy by adapting the varieties of external environment.
2. Taking consider of both external and internal environment varieties is essential while the entity expanding the overseas markets.
