Study on the Influence of Shipping Strategic Alliance Reorganization by SWOT Analysis / 應用SWOT分析航運策略聯盟重組之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 運輸科學系 / 106 / In recent years, the shipping company developed a “strategic alliance” business model in order to reduce operating costs and risks, enter new markets and expand the scope of services to achieve market share in response to a competitive operating environment.
Due to the shipping market downturn, shipping companies face all kinds of competitions and crisis. Along with the international shipping market consolidation trend, the world’s four major container shipping Union is facing restructuring, and the existing patterns of shipping strategic alliances will be broken. Therefore the community will lead to a big reshuffle. The formation of the new shipping alliance will also affect the existing global four shipping alliances’ competition pattern.
This study collects the literatures, domestic and international shipping website data for analysis. Through the introduction of strategic alliances and making related comparisons, to understand the relationships between regular shipping companies and strategic alliances. It also makes a SWOT analysis to find the problems and propose some future suggestions for the operation of shipping alliances.
