Explore the Effect of Dual Atomization to the Quality of Non-Flash Desalination under Vacuum Pressure / 探討在真空下非急驟式海水淡化機的重複霧化對淡化品質之影響

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 輪機工程學系 / 106 / This study is mainly based on the principle of flash type seawater desalination machine but with the temperature of seawater below the corresponding evaporation temperature. Therefore, this method is regarded as a non-flash seawater desalination process. The temperature is selected between 25°C and 65°C to test the water production and its salinity. In addition, sandpaper with different roughness is installed on the inner wall of the vacuum vessel, and the roughness is from P40 to smooth surface. The roughness of the sandpaper under vacuum pressure ranging from 650 mm-Hg to under 760 mm-Hg is studied for water production and salinity. The seawater is sprayed by the nozzle to be atomized to form small water droplets. And then the nozzle angle is adjusted to spray the water droplets onto the rough surface of the inner wall to cause the particles to be atomized again. The atomized fine water molecules are attached to the dome of the vacuum vessel with its remaining kinetic energy, and eventually the fresh water is collected from the dome cover. Through the comparative analysis of the experiments, the ultimate goal is to find out the temperature at which the seawater is not boiled under the vacuum pressure. From the observation, a degree of roughness can be chosen to finely atomize water droplets which can produce better fresh water on both quality and quantity.
