碩士 / 國立臺北大學 / 企業管理學系 / 106 / The purpose of the present study was to examine the relationship among the work family conflict, work adjustment and job performance of Taiwanese oversea workers within the cross-cultural setting. We studied the mediating effects of the work adjustment on the relationship between work family conflict and job performance. The samples of our research are Taiwanese workers working oversea. We distributed our questionnaires through Facebook and other websites, the number of questionnaires we collected was 458 and the valid questionnaires were 240. In addition, the total clicks of our questionnaires were 1252, and click through rate (CTR) was 36.58%.

We adopted SEM to analyze our data and test both direct effects and indirect effects among research variables by Amos 22.0. Te results indicated that: (1) family work conflict had a negative effect on work adjustment; (2) work adjustment had a positive effect on job performance; (3) family work conflict had a negative effect on job performance; (4) work adjustment mediated the relationship between work-family conflict and job performance. Furthermore, based on the research results, work adjustment and family work conflict had an important influence within the inter-cultural setting. In addition, the negative effect of family work conflict on job performance will be reduced by the mechanism of work adjustment. Finally, according to findings of the research, we provided theoretical and practical contributions, research restrictions, and recommendations for future academic research and practical managerial operations
