Image Animation Creation of Taiwan Folk Culture — A Promotion Film for "Dragon Boat Festival" / 臺灣民俗文化動畫創作-以端午祭宣導片為例

碩士 / 國立臺中科技大學 / 商業設計系碩士班 / 106 / Taiwan folk culture has been circulated to the present which recorded plenty of folk cultures. In the early days, due to certain factors, local culture and sensitive taboos were almost impossible to become the topic. For Taiwan Animation, it’s started the road of OEM in 1970s, turned out to Original Creations in 1990s, Globalization and Digital waves swept in 2000s, College of Digital Contents initiated in 2003 and National Science and Technology Program for e-Learning launched in 2008. The purpose is all to digitalize the culture through computer technology for perpetual circulation and effective use. Taiwan folk culture is so colorful and diverse that fully demonstrates the looks of vitality and diversity of the society. The purpose of this creative study is that the old traditional communication mode may fail or disappear instantly, or even difficult to recover, so it is expected that, by means of the display function of digital tools of the modern computer technology, the cultural activities of Dragon Boat Festival in Taiwan can be transformed into the new media formats such as dynamic images and animated films to achieve the purpose of spreading its cultural connotations.
  In the computer animation styles, take use of the artistic display of Motion Graphics design to fuse the features of animation and Motion Graphics to endow the graphic and visual design with life element. Through the visual stimuli of illusory narration and image tension, the Dragon Boat Festival is not just to memorize the patriotic poet, Qu Yuan as a symbol of historical figure to people; it embodies via digital display capacity of computer science and technology to reinvent the cultural significance of the Dragon Boat Festival and give rise people to perceive their local culture so that the assets of Taiwan folk culture can be continually circulated and passed down. By ways of digital display capacity and digital media communication forms, Taiwan folk culture will be given to a new look.
