Diving into the Marine Space; Protecting the Beauty of the Ocean: The Differences between Recreational Divers’ Marine Knowledge and Conservation Action / 潛入內太空,愛護海之美─休閒潛水者對於海洋保育行動「知」與「行」的差距

碩士 / 國立臺東大學 / 進修部休閒事業管理組碩(夜間) / 105 / In Taiwan, there are plenty of views under the sea that almost 300 thousand people going scuba diving every year. The study is to figure out the differences between the marine knowledge level and marine conservation or the willing of environmental promotion of scuba divers. Total 322 valid questionnaires are successfully collected and analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, and correlation coefficient through the SPSS 12.0. The results, in summary, suggested that:
1. There is a significant difference of the wish of environmental promotion based on the respondents’ ocean knowledge level.
2. There is a positive correlation between the action of marine conservation and the wish of environmental promotion.
3. There are significant differences between the action of marine conservation and the wish of environmental promotion based on respondents’ various diving experiences, frequency ranges of a year, license levels, and times of marine conservation.
