Wang Jingzhi's Calligraphy Art ─ Studying the Works after His Moving to Taiwan / 王靜芝書法藝術-渡海來台後之作品研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣藝術大學 / 書畫藝術學系 / 106 / Wang Jingzhi's calligraphy art is to be studied in this thesis,which is mainly about his calligraphy works and his contribution to the achievement arts after his crossing strait trip to Taiwan .Mr. Wang Jingzhi's calligraphy followed Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi's writing style. He was noted as a giant of Sinology and calligraphy art.
Mr. Wang Jingzhi's calligraphy was first taught by his father. Later he studied at Fu Jen Catholic University in Peking, during after class which he took his poetry and calligraphy and painting lessons from Mr. Qi Yuanbai. So he was deeply affected by Mr. Qi Yuanbai. Afterwards due to the government's resistance against Japan. He moved to Sichuan, Chongqing. Then he learned calligraphy from famous master Shen Yinmo. He was the only person among the senior calligraphers who crossed strait trip to Taiwan guided by Shen Yinmo.
After coming to Taiwan. He gave lessons in the national Taiwan academy of arts, Tunghai university in Taichung and Fu Jen catholic university in Xinzhuang. Especially, he was the first person giving calligraphy class in common universities besides the normal universities. His calligraphy works was elegant and classical. In addition to emphasizing traditional writing skills, he also paid attention to practicing hard and reading more. Pursuing the charm and the beauty of Chinese calligraphy.
This thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is about analysis of research motivation and purpose, research content, research methods, and major references. The second chapter is a comprehensive discussion of Wang Jingzhi's life story and his friends. The third chapter discusses the origin of Wang Jingzhi's calligraphy learning.
The fourth chapter is analysis of Wang Jingzhi's calligraphy traits, i.e. regular script and running script , cursive, poetry, calligraphy and painting. The fifth chapter is from Wang Jingzhi's calligraphy achievements, stating his contribution to education of calligraphy and the inheritance of calligraphy style. The sixth chapter is about how to promote calligraphy and commemorate him of the purpose.
