碩士 / 國立臺灣藝術大學 / 中華藝術全英語碩士學位學程班 / 106 / This thesis focuses on my personal creation, presenting my background of growth and the influence of my learning experience on creation. Starting from academy, opening the door of art for me, academy has become an important stage of enlightenment, and then how did I turn from painting to three-dimensional sculpture? With the conversion from the adjustment of the mentality at university to the value reconstruction at graduate institute, how did the course infiltrate into my study and creation?
This thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter “Introduction” profiles my background and learning experience. The second chapter “Artistic Influence” describes the influence of artists on my painting and sculpture. The third chapter “Creative Development and Thinking” portrays my creative style during the academy period to the ideological change at university and graduate institute. The fourth chapter, “Themes of Creation and A Description of Artwork”, illustrates the relationship between me and the theme of creation and the expression and idea of the artwork. Finally, “Conclusion” is to clarify the meaning and future development of creation.
This thesis reports my transition from oil painting to choosing woodcarving as creation material to seek the value of life through physical practice. Through this arrangement and organization of the reflection, I wish to clarify my creative development and also write down my expectations for the future.
