碩士 / 靜宜大學 / 台灣文學系 / 106 / The main purpose of this study is to understand the benefit of calligraphy club implementation in elementary school through investigating the different consequences for calligraphy education between calligraphy club and formal calligraphy classes within elementary schools. After Grade 1-9th elementary and mid-school integration reform in Taiwan, there has been a demand to reduce formal calligraphy teaching hours in elementary school, which leads to many challenges to promote calligraphy education. It is the opportunity to establish calligraphy club in school to mitigate the lacking hours in formal class. This research will do analysis of the calligraphy clubs influences from perspectives as bringing more professional calligraphy teachers, diverse teaching, increasing class hours, and then propose approaches for establishing a sustainable calligraphy education.
