碩士 / 世新大學 / 資訊管理學研究所(含碩專班) / 106 / Outdoor navigation has been widely used in recent years. However, traditional direction indications are still commonly used indoors which lack of prompt direction guidance, so that users cannot reach the destination smoothly. Therefore, various indoor navigation studies have been proposed, and it is hoped that indoor navigation can be popularized. Because of the size reduction and the low cost of sensor chips, various inertial sensors are commonly embedded in smart phones, and its application to indoor navigation has become the focus of many research. Among them, how to solve the problem of error accumulation of inertial sensors is no doubt the main issue.
In this study, the Beacon device with small volume and low power consumption was chosen to assist in correcting the error of the inertial sensor, the position and the step length and the correction can be made in time. There are a number of positioning methods based on detected wireless signal strength need to install a large number of WiFi APs or beacons in an indoor environment, increasing the complexity and maintenance costs. In this study, various inertia sensors inside the mobile phone are used to derive the distance and orientation of the user, and only a small amount of beacon is required to place at the corner or a specific place. Detecting the signal strength of the Beacons is unecessary in our system. Besides, the open collaboration platform is used to draw indoor maps, so that our system can be quickly built in different indoor environments, which improves the practicality.
According to the experimental results, our system can correctly perform path planning and re-planning. At the same time, the error caused by the inertial sensors can be effectively corrected during the navigation process by Beacon's auxiliary correction. Under normal operation, the system can accurately guide the user to the destination.
