碩士 / 台北海洋科技大學 / 海洋休閒觀光系碩士班 / 106 / This study takes “ A study of Coastal Community Sustainable Development through Ocean Health Index – Case Study of Mao Ao Community “ as the subject of this thesis. It was because of my mother took me to visit Mao Ao while I was a little boy. That was my very first time and still keeping it in my memory. Then I went back again after decades, although all the personnel has gone but there was a magnet-like suction which attracted me, as if I need to come back to do something for this community. When Professor Zhang Qing-Da introduced the "Ocean Health Index" in class, suddenly I have made up my mind to set this direction by using the 10 goals of the Ocean Health Index to explore and analyse the regeneration of this community to enable this small fishing community can be vitality again, because many parties did participate the "community overall construction" in 2001, diking ecological levees, the establishment of ecological plant park, as well as other projects, to attempt to make Mao Ao become a small and beautiful fishing community, more than 10 years later today, this community does not appear to be full of vigorous. Therefore by understanding the logical thinking of the Ocean Health Index, the 10 goals are introduced into the community regeneration to analyze the pros and cons in order to prioritize the scheduling of improvement programs. Therefore, this study takes the 10 goals of the Ocean Health Index as the topic of the Semi-structured interview method, visits the main members of the community and elderly, as well as local official representatives that 25 people in total, meanwhile the "Importance and Performance Analysis" of the IPA analysis was also introduced during the interview together with the questionnaire, Using SWOT analysis method, highlights of each interviews will be sorted out and analyzed, then made the conclusion to enable to submit suggestions to parties concerned. And also hoping this study can be applied to other coastal community regenerations for the research and analysis in Taiwan.
