A Remote Monitoring System for HomeStyle Aquaponics with the Minimum Amount of Fishes / 家庭式最少魚隻魚菜共生遠端監控系統

碩士 / 國立臺北科技大學 / 電子工程系 / 106 / Since Taiwan is a small and overcrowded island, the advance of ICT technology promotes the development of quality agriculture. More and more plant factories on hydroponics are built
in recent years. However, due to the food safety crisis in Taiwan, customers start to doubt whether chemical hydroponic nutrients for faster plant growth affect human health or not.
Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture and hydroponics. In this paper, we transfer the
commercial aquaponic system to the domestic one That is, the proposed system can be built in
the normal home of Taiwan. This paper not only adjusts the ratio of the planting area and the
number of farmed fishes, but also reduces food miles and carbon emission. The main goal is
keeping self-sustaining. According to our experimental results, the number of fish can be
reduced from 30 to 15, and the number of planted plants is increased from 20 to 30. The fish mortality can be reduced from 60% to 20%, and the plant harvest has a 50% increment.
