And research on territorial seas, adjacent areas, exclusive economic seas and island systems in UNCLOS. With the demarcation of sea areas and historical rights as the focus of discussion. The Republic of China (Taiwan), China, the Philippines and Vietnam all claim to have full or partial jurisdiction over the South China Sea Islands. And through the relevant provisions of the UNCLOS on island systems and historical rights, as well as the views of the international arbitral tribunals in the ‘The Republic of the Philippines v. The People’ Republic of China’ on the relevant norms of the UNCLOS. Explains the current situation of Taiping Island and the sovereignty of the R.O.C(Taiwan) government. Demonstrate the conditions of Taiping Island to meet the requirements of the "islands" in the UNCLOS. And give the R.O.C(Taiwan) government relevant advice on the future operation of the South China Sea.
