In the World Bank's “Natural Disaster Hotspots: Global Risk Analysis” report, it shows that Taiwan is a high-risk area for natural disasters, so the threat to natural disasters can’t be ignored.
This paper uses the "Sponge City" structure of Taipei as the main research motive and integrates the planning and design practices of urban rainwater management in foreign cities (Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia) and the reference to the "Sponge City Construction Practical Technical Handbook" in China. The facilities planned by each city will be used as the standard for the questionnaire, and the statistical results will be applied to the sponge city policy framework in Taipei City. Finally, the flooding potential of Wenshan District announced by the National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction(NCDR) will be used as the recommended facility.
