碩士 / 正修科技大學 / 電機工程研究所 / 107 / As the power demands for ships continue to grow, the choice of AC or DC marine power system has become an issue for ship manufacturers. This paper will compare the performance analysis for ships adapting AC or DC power systems under the same load scenario. The ETAP (Electrical Transient Analysis Program) is used to model these two systems. Comparisons of the load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and harmonic analysis between these two systems are discussed in this thesis. Test results show that the AC power system incurs less losses and voltage drops, and larger fault currents when faults occurring near the rectifiers. Besides, the AC power system should deal with the harmonic problem. These simulation results can be referred to the ship companies for choosing the AC or DC power system.
Keywords: marine power system, load flow analysis, fault current analysis, harmonic analysis.
