碩士 / 朝陽科技大學 / 資訊與通訊系 / 107 / Aquaculture is an important part of Taiwans economy. Intelligent monitoring of water quality parameters can not only reduce labor costs but also prevent human errors. Most of the traditional aquaculture production areas are relatively large and lack of power suply and Ethernet interfaces, so the establishment of cable transmission will be limited by the venue. The use of wireless transmission systems with solar energy architecture can greatly improve maneuverability and reduce establishment costs.
In this article we choose LoRa (Long Rang) as wireless transmission , which has a larger transmission distance and a simpler star topology than ZigBee. The difficulty of establishing is lower than other wireless transmission technologies and the cost is not high. In the wide and unobstructed field, it is more conducive to its transmission quality.
This paper uses the Raspberry Pi embedded system as the core of the system. The system can be divided into three parts. The first part is the water quality data collection, and the water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, and ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential). It is then wirelessly transmitted to the gateway via LoRa. Secondly, the Raspberry Pi is used as a gateway and received the data through LoRa, and various water quality parameters will be transmitted to the remote server via 4G-LTE. Finally, the data in the server can be presented on the mobile phone or other device in the form of a responsive web page, providing the user with the ability to monitor and evaluate the current status at the remote end. Managers do not need to patrol the fish farms to measure the current water parameters, and just observe the long-term water quality changes through the webpage and make adjustments in a timely manner.
