A Study of the Assessment Index for Rural Communities Towards Sustainable Satoyama : Case Study on Liyues Cimmunity in Maioli County / 農村社區邁向永續里山評估指標之研究- 以苗栗縣鯉魚社區為例

碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 都市計畫與空間資訊學系 / 107 / The International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) was officially proposed in 2010. By the end of 2018. There were four domestic organizations participated in IPSI. As the result, the discussion of the Satoyama was growing internally, and the participating organizations were increasing.
Since 2017, the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau has joined IPSI, and has initiated rural community participation in Satoyama. This study combines the international Satoyama Initiative theory and the uniqueness and locality of rural communities in Taiwan. The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) was used to establish a set of assessment index. It contains five subjects, there are “Natural environment and ecology”,” Community resource utilization”,” Community culture and value”,” Community cohesion” and” Sustainable community economy”. In addition to the assessment index evaluate whether the community is suitable for the development of the Satoyama Initiative, it provide the basis for the initial development of the Satoyama Initiative.
This study had selected Liyues Cimmunity in Sanyi, Maioli County as an empirical case. It has evaluated “the Indicators of Resilience in Socio-ecological Production Landscapes” and the assessment indicator of this study. It was found that the assessment indicators of IPSI is available for use in regions around the world, and it was more flexible than the assessment indicators of this study. But the assessment indicators of this study are more suitable for rural communities in Taiwan to make strategic recommendations.
