Enterprises are no longer just setting up foundations to do their charitable donations to complete their corporate social responsibility. Instead, they need to integrate them into the business model and make them sustainable. In order to better integrate corporate social responsibility into corporate operations, social and environmental impact assessment is very important and Social Return on Investment (SROI) is the current mainstream social impact assessment method.
This beach cleanup SROI is 2.56 NTD, which means that investing 1 NTD in this beach cleanup activity can generate 2.56 NTD benefits for the society. This study is a rare study of SROI calculations for public welfare activities in Taiwan. The research object-beach cleanup activity is also a charity activity that Taiwan's government, enterprises and organizations are very keen on.As a result, groups that want to host a beach cleanup activity in the future can use this research as a reference to understand the key impact and value generation in beach cleanup activity.
This study analyzes hundreds of beach cleanup activity's stakeholders. Through this study, we can understand the types of important stakeholders covered by the beach cleanup activity, as well as the path of their changes and the value they ultimately get. It also includes the benefits of volunteers that were easily overlooked in the past when discussing the benefits of public interest projects.
