碩士 / 國立東華大學 / 海洋生物研究所 / 107 / The study on the chemical constituents of the sea whip gorgonian coral Junceella fragilis has led to the isolation of 13 briarane-type diterpenoids, including seven new compounds, fragilides M–O (1–3), R–U (4–7), as well as six known analogues, junceellin A (8), junceellolides A and B (9 and 10), 12-epi-frgilide G (11), fragilide L (12) and (–)-4-deacetyljunceellolide D (13). The structures of metabolites 1–13 were established by the spectroscopic methods and comparison of the spectroscopic data with those of related compounds. The absolute configuration of junceellin A (8), was further determined by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Anti-inflammatory activity of briaranes 1, 2, 8, 10, and 11 in terms of reducing the expressions of elastase and superoxide anions by human neutrophils and reducing the expressions of iNOS and COX-2 in LPS-induced RAW264.7 macrophage cells were described.
