A Study of "Nitto Shosengumi" in Management under Japanese Colonial Period in Taiwan / 日治時期臺灣「日東商船組」的營運分析

碩士 / 國立高雄師範大學 / 臺灣歷史文化及語言研究所 / 107 / The main purpose of Japan ruling Taiwan is to derive the benefit from its economics, which is necessary to build up the transportation construction in order to deliver products from Taiwan. Takao, Keelung and West Coast Line had been the most significant Transportation construction in Taiwan. Also, the small-scale transport industry in Taiwan had been used to carry freight during the period of Japanese Taiwan.
The aim of the study is to analyze the operationt of “Nitto Shosengumi”, one of the small-scale transport industries, which plays an important role in the transportation system of Taiwan. The goods in bulk were categorized, packed, transported by small-scale transprt industry as a quite important role of the transport industry.
The major shop of “Nitto Shosengumi”, established in Kaohsiung with the branches all over Taiwan mainly transport unpacked goods as a signifincant part in operating the privately owned small-scale transport industry during the period of Japanese Taiwan. The study focuses on the developing process of “Nitto Shosengumi”, discussing the small-scale industray of Taiwan operating at the Port of Kaohsiung. The further discussion will be on the operation of “Nitto Shosengumi” included the branches all wround Taiwan to analyze and have a understanding about the transportation during the period of Japanese Taiwan.
