Because of the geographic affect, Taiwan has a great deal of animal diversity, which leads to the rampant living animals smuggling cases. The creature which has been smuggled the most is Yellow-margined Box Turtle; the profit is very high for its market in Mainland China, it is estimated that there are over 40,000 turtle been smuggled every year, which is the main reason why our investigation would be focus on this animal.
The main goal of this article is to compare the traditional method of law enforcement agencies and lately high-tech equipment effects on the reconnaissance and enforcement for law enforcement agencies.
The chapters in this article are following：The introduction of Yellow-margined Box Turtle, the practical cases of living animal smuggling of Taiwan Coast Guard, the application of technical equipment in the mentioned cases, the comparison of the mentioned cases. It is our main purpose that we can improve our enforcement power in order to protect the endanger animal.
