碩士 / 國立高雄科技大學 / 觀光管理系 / 107 / The study of the traveler’s Motivations and traveler’s Constraints of overseas travel has always been an issue of academic and practical concern, but less research has been conducted from the perspective of generational differences. The study surveyed 391 travelers who will participate in overseas travel and is divided into: Generation Y (20-41 years old), Generation X (42-52 years old) and Baby Boomer Generation (53 years old or older). There are significant differences in travel motivation and obstacles between different generations. Among them, the Y-generation “experience and relaxation” and “exploration and trial” motivation are greater than the X generation and the baby boom generation; the obstacle factor part, except for the “environmental hindrance” three generations, there is no significant difference, the baby boom generation’s “personal hindrance” "The interpersonal obstacles greater than the Y generation and the X generation, and the Y generation and the baby boom generation" are greater than the X generation, and the strength of the "health responsibility obstruction" is the baby boom generation, the X generation, and the Y generation. Finally, based on the results of the research, it is expected to reduce the barriers of each generation and enhance motivation.
