Construction of Responsible Travel Business Model – A Case Study of O2Lab in Penghu / 責任觀光營運模式之建構-以澎湖海漂實驗室為例

O2Lab develops environmental education courses based on marine debris, and unique leisure experience activities new business model. O2Lab adhered to the principle that garbage can turn into gold, the reality can be true. The purpose of this study was to explore the business model of Taiwan Marine debris. The researcher tried to find out the type of business model and provide some advices to keep sustainable operation. Our interview guide based on “Business Model Canvas” which conducted by Osterwalder & Pigneur in 2010. The researcher also followed this model to analyses these cases.
The results can be summarized as the following business models in two ways: (1) the connections and charm of entrepreneurs have a great impact on resource utilization and integration.(2) Innovative business competition model - Marine litter + aesthetic innovation, is the key to profit. Marine debris is a global concern affecting all the oceans of the world. It poses environmental, economic, health and aesthetic problems that are rooted in poor solid waste management practices and behaviors. Furthermore, the results can serve as a reference for business model in responsible travel of marine debris.
