In Response to the Challenges of Family Business Succession: Taking Shanghai Haoledi as an Example / 家族企業傳承之挑戰與因應-以上海好樂迪為例

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 兩岸高階主管經營管理碩士在職專班 / 107 / In modern commercial society, the proportion of family business weighs high. In western economies, family enterprises account for more than two-thirds; in Taiwan''s listed enterprises, family enterprises account for 74%; in mainland China, 85% of private enterprises are family enterprises, accounting for 36% of listed companies. As the proportion of family business, the inheritance of family business has become the core problem and challenge.
This paper demonstrates the inheritance of family businesses and copying strategies with profundity and an easy-to-understand approach through macroscopic analysis and case study discussion. And taking Shanghai Haoledi as an example, it gives an in-depth exploration that family businesses should decide on the inheritance modes as soon as possible, train their successors, and foster the abilities of successors through the rotation system to lay a solid foundation for the successors to develop and manage the companies in the future.
I hope that through the study on the effective inheritance schemes and action plans of family businesses, more family businesses would find inheritance modes and successor talent training programs suiting themselves. At the end of the paper, the limitations and future research directions are also discussed.
