碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 107 / This study investigated the effects of dietary supplementation of Antarctic krill meal (KM) and shrimp meal hydrolysate (SMH) on the growth performance and body composition of white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. In experiment I, the six isonitrogenous (35% Crude protein), isolipidic (8% Crude lipid) and isoenergetic (295.2 kcal/100g) diets were supplemented with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5% of krill meal (KM), respectively. The shrimps were fed with treatment diets for six weeks in triplicate tanks, each of which with 20 shrimps (initial weight of 0.036 g). The shrimp fed with diet containing 4% KM had significantly higher weight gain than those fed diet containing 2% KM and control diet. However, shrimp fed with diets containing 1, 3 and 5 % KM showed no significantly different weight gain percentage. According to quadratic regression model, the shrimp fed diet supplemented with 3.98% KM had the optimum weight gain percentage. The shrimp fed with diet containing KM had significantly higher specific growth rate (SGR) compared with those fed with control diet. In experiment II, the six isonitrogenous (35% Crude protein), isolipidic (9.5% Crude lipid) and isoenergetic (305.5 kcal/100 g) diets were supplemented with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5% of shrimp meal hydrolysate (SMH), respectively. The shrimps were fed with treatment diets for six weeks in triplicate tanks, each of which with 20 shrimps (initial weight of 0.022 g). The shrimp fed diets supplemented with 5% SMH had significantly higher weight gain percentage than those fed with other treatment diets. The shrimp fed diets supplemented with SMH have high superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities. The SOD activity of shrimp fed with diet containing 3% of SMH was significantly higher than that of shrimp fed with control diet.
