碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 航運管理學系 / 107 / Container terminals are playing pivot roles in the liner shipping industries. To shorten ship waiting time in the container terminal for reducing the operating cost, how to improve the operating efficiency is a key issue for both terminal and ship operators. In this study, we established a model to simulate the operation scenario of a container terminal. Quality characteristics such as the Net Move Per Hour of quay cranes, the Net Move Per Hour of rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, and RTG average waiting time were considered. Furthermore, important factors affecting the quality characteristics were identified with their control levels. After that, this study designed different simulated scenarios which were created based on the parameters of Orthogonal Arrays. The result shows the best operating model should concentrate on both the empty bay and cell, reduce the constraint on the types of the container as well.
