Apply Stochastic Model to Simulate Check-in counters operations in Keelung Cruise Terminal / 利用隨機作業模型探討基隆港郵輪碼頭櫃檯作業之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 航運管理學系 / 107 / In recent years, the Asian cruise market has continued to grow. The hardware equipment of international ports is facing the problem of passenger growth. According to the current existing terminal facilities, it is insufficient to load passengers above 100,000 tons. The number of check-in counters required for passenger check-in has not met the needs of cruise operators. The use of existing equipment for passengers has greatly limited the speed of boarding passengers. The CIQS speed of cruise passengers is subject to the official inspection of each floor. The impact of the subsequent operations will be delayed as long as the situation occurs slowly or back plug.
This study explores the actual situation encountered by cruise liners operate embarkation in Keelung Port. The scope of collection is defined in the escalator and elevator control points on the first floor of the cruise terminal to the check-in area on second floor, while the ground handle operators provide the passengers statistics.
Use the Arena software to construct the check-in counter module. Since the film only collects the information reported to the counter, in order to write the analysis data of the field survey into the module, it is necessary to check the status and the check-in counter first, and confirm the registration counter. To simulate the effectiveness of the module, and then construct a data module for the field survey, and also check the validity of the check-in counters whether the overall data is significantly difference. The simulation system for constructing the above two kinds of effectiveness indicates operation. The first mode is island-shaped -40 counters, and the second mode is island-48 check-in counters.
The test results show that both modes can shorten the reporting time and improve the efficiency of the operation. However, the Island 40 check-in counters reporting counters use statistical methods to check that there is no significant difference between the existing, there is no difference from the current situation, and the Island 48 check-in counters have statistically verified the difference between the check-in counters. The representative results can suggest the management of the cruise terminal. Under the consideration of the space constraints and the cruise line operation mode of the terminal, the design of the counters in the future terminal will be the Island mode.
