A Study on the Relationships between the Perceptions of Marine Education Ability and Teaching Commitment on Elementary School Teachers in Keelung City / 基隆市國小教師海洋教育能力與教學承諾關係之研究

The main purpose of this study is to explore the situation and relationship between the ability and the teaching commitment of the marine education of the elementary school teachers in Keelung City. First, The researcher established research frameworks and tools through relevant literature discussions; Second, The researcher conducted questionnaire survey through stratified random sampling by taking the teachers of Keelung City Public Primary School as the research object. A total of 310 valid samples which are analyzed by statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, t-test, single-factor variance analysis (ANOVA), product-related correlation analysis, and regression analysis.
Based on the research results, the conclusions of this study are as follows:
1.The overall marine education ability of Keelung Elementary School teachers is moderate. Among them, the level of "teaching background ability" is the highest, and the level of "teaching preparation ability" is relatively low.
2.The overall ocean education teaching commitment of Keelung Elementary School teachers is up to the middle level. Among them, the "work identification" level is the most consistent, while the "professional growth" level is relatively low.
3.Significant differences in marine education capabilities among national teachers of different ages, marine experiences, years of service, and positions of service.
4.Different teachers' background, marine experience, service years, and junior college teachers have significant differences in their commitment to marine education.
5.The marine education ability and teaching commitment of Keelung Elementary School teachers are highly positively correlated, and the teaching result ability is highly predictive of the overall teaching commitment.
Finally, based on the research results, relevant recommendations are made to provide references for the national teachers, school administration, educational administration, and future research.
