碩士 / 國立臺灣科技大學 / 管理研究所 / 107 / In consideration of the changes of both the expected and unexpected elements relating to territorial security and the seabed core, the results of marine engineering surveys tend to be inaccurate. For the same reason, the judgment on the undertaking of the dredging project is likely to be incorrect or not very precise. Such findings are the motivation for undertaking this particular study.
For the arrangement of machines and tools, the undertaking of the engineering project and the mapping out of the project deadline, a long-term survey on the tide, wind field, ocean current and waves and their survey statistics play a great and important role. Furthermore, the technical exploration and rules for implementation both deeply affect the project results. This study is verified by comparing the theory with the practice of actual seabed engineering and is based on the terms and conditions of the engineering contracts and risk management.
The study follows an actual dredging project carried out by Company A to make thorough research on all the possible complicated situations arising out of the dredging contract, charter party, equipment rental, market information, insurance, insurance premium, claim, settlement and marine arbitration. Hopefully this study builds a good standard for any future research regarding the dredging industry
