Studies on the Growth of Vegetables under Aquaponics and Soil Cultivation System : Taking Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Cabbage (Brassica cv) as an Example / 魚菜共生與土耕蔬菜生長條件的探討:以萵苣與黑葉白菜為例

碩士 / 台北海洋科技大學 / 食品科技與行銷系碩士班 / 107 / In this study, the common Asteraceae lettuce and the Brassica chinensis were planted in two ways. The vegetables were discussed in terms of the Aquaponics method and the soil cultivation method. There are three aspects to explore: first, the difference in nitrate content between vegetable cultivation methods and picking time. Second, vegetable evaluation - Consumers conduct questionnaires on the taste, consumption habits and acceptance prices of vegetables in different planting methods. Third, The application of aquaponics in life - home greening, education, and commercial applications.

According to the results of this study, in terms of growth height, the height of Lola lettuce and Black-leaf cabbage was higher than that of soil cultivating, and the difference was 15.67% and 0.82% respectively. The Aquaponics vegetables weighed lighter than that of soil cultivated, the Lola lettuce is 93.89%, and 93.20%; the Black-leaf cabbage is 93.81%, and 92.59%. This shows that Aquaponics planting methods are more advantageous. The nitrate content of the vegetables produced by Aquaponics was kept at a low temperature for one day. The average value of nitrates in the Lola lettuce measured during harvesting was 4,788 ppm and the temperature reduced to 10 °C, it also reduced to 2,844 ppm after 24 hours. The Black-leaf cabbage measured while harvest was 3,011 ppm, after refrigerating for an hour, it was reduced to 1,442 ppm, which was lower than that of the soil cultivated method, and the Lola lettuce value of 4,355 ppm and 4,366 ppm detected after low-level ginseng for 24 hours. The experiment showed that after the harvest, the refrigerator was placed for the next day. The Lola lettuce planted by Aquaponics, the numbers measured from harvesting to after 24 hours of refrigerating, the nitrate ratio decreased 62.15 ± 35.45, and 32.38 ± 19.28%. The Black-leaf cabbage soil cultivated compared with Aquaponics, measured from harvesting to after 24 hours of cooling decreased in nitrates 31.43 ± 9.69% and 61.96 ± 39.65% respectively. As the experiment shows, after being placed in the refrigerator for 10 hours at 10°C, the nitrate content inside Black-leaf cabbage and Lola lettuce was significantly reduced.

In the evaluation section, among the 30 valid questionnaires, the ratio of male to female was 53.3% for males and 46.7% for females. The fiber of symbiotic Lola lettuce was more popular among women, and the males preferred the sweet and savory cabbage. In terms of occupation, education is more important for the crispness and sweetness of Black-leaf cabbage, and the relative price of Black-leaf cabbage is about 5% > 10% > 20%. The occupation with high consumption power is the service industry, students; the gender with higher consumption power is male .
