Study of the Aquaponics Business Model in Thailand / 泰國魚菜共生經營模式之研究

碩士 / 國立臺北科技大學 / 管理學院EMBA泰國專班 / 107 / Aquaponics is an emerging technology that was invented by the United States, but it is prevalent in Australia, where water resources are seriously inadequate, soil is poor, and environmental protection is high. Even though his initial cost is relatively high, he has the following advantages over traditional agriculture: saving land, high unit output, water saving, quality safety, and high returns. As the population grows faster and faster, food production is also a big worry. If you can make good use of this technology, I believe that it can help the food demand.
This study adopts the in-depth interview method, uses the nine elements of the business model to list the aquaponics related issues, and interviews industry stakeholders, and finally proposes case studies and analysis, and compares with their own cases to propose fish dishes.
Through this study, we can conclude that the aquaponics is a sustainable system. In response to the food crisis that may arise in the future, the aquaponics technology can be used as a solution. In addition, automation equipment should be built to reduce labor costs and increase revenue. It is also possible to diversify operations and develop potential business opportunities in the market. And in combination with local natural conditions, develop differentiated business opportunities. These are all must be considered in the management of aquaponics.
