A Study on the Marine Education Research Development Trend in Taiwan: 2000-2018 Master’s and Doctor’s Thesis / 臺灣海洋教育博碩士論文現況與議題趨勢之研究:2000~2018

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 108 / This research applied the content analysis method to integrate and analyze the dissertations of Marine Education in Taiwan. From 2000 to 2018, a total of 18 years, using "Marine Education" as the keyword of the dissertation, a total of 267 articles were analyzed, to understand the current situation and research trend of the thesis in the field of Marine education. The research results of this study are as follows:
I. Research status of Taiwan's marine education degree master's thesis: In terms of production time and severalnumber of articles, the number of papers studied is affected by relevant education policies. From 2000 to 2007, the number of studies is scarce. In 2008, the number of studies began to increase, and the number increased in 2011. In terms of output sources, National Taiwan Ocean University has the largest number, and the rest of the output schools are mostly normal colleges; in terms of degree categories, master's thesis accounts for 96.3%, doctoral thesis accounts for 3.7%; in the education category, the official ocean Education accounts for 92%, non-standard marine education accounts for 6%, and other accounts for 2%. In the implementation stage, current marine education research is mostly concentrated in the national primary education stage. Preschool education and university education only have one each, while teachers There is no relevant research during the training phase.
Ⅱ.Taiwan's marine education dissertation research content spindle and trend: In the theoretical study of marine education, the number is not much, only 10 ten articles. In terms of marine education implementation surveys, they have the most "learning effectiveness", ," and they study the learning outcomes after the implementation of marine education. Followed by "evaluation research", ," they understand the subject's cognition, affection, and attitude towards marine education, as well as the implementation of national and local marine education policies. The third largest group is “action research”,,” which focuses on the solution of problems in the implementation of marine education and teaching. The fourth major is the Ocean Education "Course Research", ," which has an in-depth description of the course of marine education courses. The fifth is the "content analysis" of marine education textbooks, which can be used to understand the distribution of marine education teaching content in current textbooks. The sixth is the “Case Study” of Ocean Education, which provides an in-depth and detailed understanding of specific marine education programs. The last is the "research and development" of marine education, which includes the establishment of marine education teaching resources and the development of teaching materials, which can be used as a choice for implementing marine education teaching resources.
1. Ⅲ. Based on the research results, the future research on Taiwan's marine education dissertation research: 1. Promote the willingness of researchers to invest through the education unit's advocacy of marine education policy; 2. Continue to rely on the NTOU to deepen the research in the field of marine education; Research on marine education outside the national primary and secondary education; 4. Strengthen research beyond learning effectiveness; 5 Develop curriculum design that integrates into the seven major marine literacy in the United States to connect with the international community.
It is hoped that this study can provide some value for future researchers who join the Marine Education research field in Taiwan, so that Marine Education in Taiwan can be more complete in the continuous deepening research.
