Phospherescence in heterosubstituted organic compounds

A review of recent literature pertaining to phosphorescent studies was made and, on this basis, a mechanism was developed to explain the short-lived afterglow found in some organic compounds where n - π transitions occur.
An apparatus for measuring phosphorescent lifetimes was described with some of the results obtained thereon. The principal difficulties met with were also described. / Science, Faculty of / Chemistry, Department of / Graduate
