Psicóloga / La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo conocer las percepciones de los profesionales respecto al cambio en los jóvenes que cumplen sanciones no privativas de libertad en programas de Libertad Asistida y Libertad Asistida Especial de la Fundación DEM. Para esto se realizó un estudio de enfoque exploratorio-descriptivo y un análisis cualitativo basado en la Teoría Fundamentada. La muestra estuvo compuesta por siete profesionales, quienes a través de una entrevista semiestructurada entregaron sus percepciones respecto a cuatro ejes de análisis: Posibilidades de cambio, Factores del cambio, Rol de la intervención y Efectos asociados a las sanciones no privativas de libertad. Entre los resultados se destaca que los profesionales creen en el potencial de cambio de los jóvenes, a pesar de las barreras individuales, sociales y estructurales. Además, le entregan un valor positivo a las sanciones no privativas de libertad, en donde el vínculo y la intervención en contexto natural toman un rol fundamental. The current investigation aimed to comprehend the perception of the professionals regarding to the change in the youngsters that are serving non-custodial sentences in probation programs from the DEM Foundation. For this, there was performed an exploratory-descriptive approach and a qualitative analysis based on the Grounded Theory. The sample was composed by seven professionals who, through a semi-structured interview, gave their points of view on four areas of analysis: Possibilities of Change, change factors, the role of intervention and effects associated with non-custodial sentences. Among the results it stands out that professionals believe in the potential of change in the young people, despite the individual, social and structural barriers. In addition, they delivered a positive value to non-custodial sanctions, where the bond and intervention in a natural context reach a fundamental role.
