Orientador: Cilene Ribeiro de Sá Leite Chakur / Banca: Maria Regina Guarnieri / Banca: Aline Maria de Medeiros Rodrigues Reali / Resumo: Este trabalho pretendeu investigar se professores do II Ciclo do Ensino Fundamental (5ª a 8ª séries) de uma escola de cidade do interior paulista, tinham consciência de suas responsabilidades como professor, suas funções e qual o seu valor atualmente. Entre outras coisas, pretendeu-se saber se a identidade dos professores se apresenta realmente em níveis, como avaliam a possível crise descrita na bibliografia educacional e, se estão conscientes dessa crise com seus determinantes. Juntamente com o referencial teórico de autores que tratam da identidade, dos saberes e das dificuldades do professor, utilizou-se como suporte para a análise a teoria de Jean Piaget sobre o desenvolvimento cognitivo e a tomada de consciência. Foram entrevistados 12 professores com base em um roteiro semi-estruturado, dividido em 3 eixos temáticos (Ser professor, Saberes docentes e Características e Consciência da crise) em que algumas das questões assentavam-se em situações contextualizadas. A partir de análise qualitativa e quantitativa, foi possível estabelecer níveis distintos da identidade profissional do professor (Nível I: Desvio de identidade, Nível II: Semi-identidade profissional, Nível III: Identidade e responsabilidade profissional), assim como níveis para a tomada de consciência da crise de identidade (Nível I: Consciência elementar ou periférica da crise de identidade profissional, Nível II: Consciência incipiente da crise de identidade profissional, Nível III: Consciência refletida da crise de identidade profissional) O trabalho possibilitou, também, entender quais as principais imagens que os próprios professores possuem de si como profissionais, assim como quais os atributos necessários para pertencer à profissão docente, a quem recorrem e onde buscam elementos para ser professor. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This work intended to investigate whether the teachers from the Second Cycle of the Elementary Teaching from an inside school of the State of São Paulo, had consciousness about their responsibilities as teachers, their functions and what is their value at the present days. Besides, it intended to know if their identity presents truly levels, like they evaluate the possible crisis described in an educational bibliographic and, if they are conscientious about this crisis with their determinative. Along with the theoretical referential of the authors who treat of identity, knowing and difficulties, had been used the Jean Piaget's theory analysis about the cognitive development and the conscience taking. Twelve teachers were interviewed with a semi-structured screenplay divided into three axle (Being a Teacher, Teacher's Knowing and Characteristics and Consciousness of Crisis) where some of the questions were in contextualized situations. From the quantity and quality analysis, was possible to establish distinct levels of the teacher professional identity (Level 1: Shunting line of Identity; Level 2: Semi-identity Professional; Level 3: Identity and Professional Responsibility), like levels to taking of the consciousness of the identity crisis (Level 1: Elementary or Peripheral Consciousness of the Identity Crisis; Level 2: Incipient Consciousness of the Professional Identity; Level 3: Reflected Consciousness of the Professional Identity). The work, also gave us, the possibility to understand which are the main images that the teachers possess themselves as professionals, like what are the necessaries attributes to belong to the teacher's profession, to whom they recover and where they search elements to be a professor. The results showed teachers in many confused aspects, allowing to see indistinctly an identity not very defined well, a career in divided parts which the teachers don't know to the certainty if they are or not in an identity crisis. / Mestre
