Foi uma tentativa de apreender como essas mulheres adquirem condições não somente para desconstruir os estigmas e estereótipos presentes no imaginário social, mas também para ressignificar o ser negro e fazer planos para o futuro procurando expressar uma identidade étnico-racial. Os recursos da história oral foram importantes para captar e interpretar os aspectos significativos de suas vivências e experiências em contextos sociais que as subestimam e em outros nos quais se sentem valorizadas e que contribuem para o fortalecimento da auto-estima e auto-confiança. / Abstract: This dissertation aimed to interpret the experiences of a group of black adolescent women regarding the daily prejudice, discrimination and racism that permeate their social relationships, and the role performed by the family in the construction of their identities. It was an attempt at learning how these women acquired means not only to desconstruct stigmas and stereotypes present in a social imagination, but also to redefine the black being and make plans for the future looking to express an ethno-racial identity. The oral history resources were important in capturing and interpreting the significant aspects of their experiences in social contexts that underestimate them and in others where they feel valued, and that contribute to the strengthening of self- esteem and self-confidence of these adolescents. / Mestre
