Orientador: Marymarcia Guedes / Banca: Vanderci de Andrade Aguilera / Banca: Maria Inês Ghilardi Lucena / Banca: Antônio Suarez Abreu / Banca: Eva Ucy Miranda Sá Soto / Resumo: Seguindo os pressupostos teóricos da Sociolingüística Laboviana, este trabalho propõe a análise de três fenômenos de variação fonética na aquisição do português como língua estrangeira por nativos americanos e espanhóis: i) o uso das vibrantes em início de palavra, como em roda [' d ] ~ [' d ] ~ ['h d ]; em grupos consonantais, como em prova ['p v ] ~ [p v '] e em posição intervocálica em dois contextos: com a vibrante /r/, como carro [kah ] ~ ['ka ] ~ ['ka ], e com a vibrante / /, como faro [fa ] ~ [fa ] ~ ['fah ]; ii) a palatalização das oclusivas [t] e [d] em palavras como dica ['d k ] ~ ['d k ] e tive ['tiv ] ~ ['t iv ] e iii) a vocalização da lateral [ ] em final de sílaba, e em meio e final de vocábulo, como nos exemplos sal [sa ] e salgado [sa ' ad ]. Buscamos comparar a variação encontrada no português falado por americanos com a variação encontrada no português falado por nativos espanhóis e comprovar nossa hipótese de que as dificuldades que falantes de outras línguas enfrentam, ao aprender a língua portuguesa, apresentam-se como fenômenos naturais de variação e são condicionados por fatores lingüísticos e extralingüísticos. Chegamos a essa conclusão por meio de resultados obtidos em uma pesquisa anterior a esta elaborada para o Mestrado, feita com informantes americanos (Dutra, 2003). Desta feita, propusemo-nos comparar esses dados com a análise da fala dos informantes espanhóis, coletados já para o doutorado. Acreditamos que os fenômenos de variação decorrentes das dificuldades desses aprendizes se realizam com maior ou menor freqüência de acordo com fatores lingüísticos - contextos fônicos e estruturas da sílaba e do vocábulo - e extralingüísticos- idade e estilos de uso da linguagem. Por fim, procuramos refletir sobre a formação adequada do professor de português como língua estrangeira... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Following the theoretical postulations of Labov's Sociolinguistics, this study proposes the analysis of three phonetic variation phenomena in the acquisition of the Portuguese as a foreign language by native Americans and Spanish: i) the use of vibrants in the beginning of the word, such as in roda [' d ] ~ [' d ] ~ ['h d ]; in consonant groups, such as in prova ['p v ] ~ [p v '] and in intervocalic position in two contexts: with vibrant /r/, such as in carro [kah ] ~ ['ka ] ~ ['ka ], and with vibrant / /, such as in faro [fa ] ~ [fa ] ~ ['fah ]; ii) the occlusive palatalization [t] and [d] in words such as dica ['d k ] ~ ['d k ] and tive ['tiv ] ~ ['t iv ] and iii) the vowelization of the lateral [ ] at the end of the syllable, and in the middle and at the end of the word, such as in the examples sal [sa ] and salgado [sa ' ad ]. We searched to compare the variation found in the Portuguese language spoken by Americans with the variation found in the Portuguese spoken by Spanish and to prove our hypothesis that the difficulties faced by other languages speakers when learning the Portuguese language are natural phenomena of variation and are conditioned by linguistics and extra linguistics factors. We have come to this conclusion through results which were obtained in a previous research that was elaborated for the Master Course, done with American informants (Dutra, 2003). Thus, we decided to compare this data with the analysis of the speech of the Spanish informants, collected already for the Doctorate. We believe that the variation phenomena delivered from the difficulties of these pupils occurred with more or less frequency with linguistics factors - phonic contexts and structure of the syllable and the word - and extra linguistics - age and styles of using the language.
