Orientador: Mário Fernando Bolognesi / Banca: Reynúncio Napoleão de Lima / Banca: Neyde Veneziano / Resumo: Este trabalho aborda a maneira como o Teatro do Ornitorrinco utilizou a linguagem cômica em suas produções, tendo como enfoque a montagem de O doente imaginário, de Molière, realizada pelo grupo em 1989. Fundado no final da década de 1970, este grupo paulistano propunha a reteatralização. No primeiro momento, esta pesquisa refaz, de maneira cronológica, a trajetória do Ornitorrinco ao abordar as encenações realizadas pelo grupo ao longo de seus trinta e um anos. Para isso utiliza documentos oficiais, matérias jornalísticas (reportagens e críticas), e entrevistas semi-estruturadas com os artistas que participaram do Teatro do Ornitorrinco. Em seguida (Capítulos 2 e 3), procura-se compreender a forma como o Ornitorrinco adaptou o texto O doente imaginário e o transpôs para a cena, de acordo com as propostas e os objetivos iniciais trazidos pelo grupo, desde a sua formação. As Considerações Finais enfatizam as contribuições trazidas pelo Teatro do Ornitorrinco para o teatro brasileiro. / Abstract: This work approaches the way as the Teatro do Ornitorrinco used the comic language in its productions, having as approach the assembly of The imaginary sick, of Molière, carried through for group 1989. Established in the end of the decade of 1970, this paulistano group considered the re-teatralization. At the first moment, this research remakes, in chronological way, the Ornitorrinco's trajectory when approaching the stages carried through for the group througlout its thirty-one years. For this, it uses official documents, journalistic substances (critical news and articles) and interviews haf-structuralized with the artists who had participated of the Teatro do Ornitorrinco. After (chapters 2 and 3) try to understand the form as the Ornitorrinco adapted the text The imaginary sick and he transposed it to the scene in accordance with the proposals and the initial objectives brought by the group, since its formation. The final consideration emphasize the contributions brought for the Teatro do Ornitorrinco for the brazilian theater. / Mestre
