Orientador: Marize Mattos Dall'Aglio Hattnher / Banca: Kristine Sue Stenzel / Banca: Gisele Cássia de Sousa / Resumo: Considerando a evidencialidade como a expressão da fonte da informação contida em um enunciado, o objetivo deste trabalho é verificar quais são as relações que os subtipos evidenciais gramaticais estabelecem com a categoria de tempo. Tomando como embasamento teórico-metodológico a Gramática Discursivo-Funcional (GDF), investigamos um conjunto de 23 línguas indígenas do Brasil em que evidencialidade e tempo são categorias obrigatórias, já que, nessas línguas, observa-se uma interessante inter-relação entre as categorias de tempo e evidencialidade. Os subtipos evidenciais foram classificados segundo a tipologia proposta por Hengeveld e Dall'Aglio Hattnher (2012), que identifica evidencialidade de percepção de evento, dedutiva, inferencial e reportativa. Em relação à ocorrência dos subtipos evidenciais, a reportatividade e a percepção de evento foram os mais usuais, seguidos pela dedução e, posteriormente, pela inferência. No que concerne à expressão do tempo, grande parte das línguas indígenas do corpus divide o tempo em passado, presente e futuro, havendo ainda algumas línguas que expressam uma divisão binária, como a oposição passado/não-passado e futuro/não-futuro. Além dessas distinções, a divisão temporal envolve também a distinção entre os graus de distância (imediato, recente, remoto, distante) entre os eventos e um ponto de referência, normalmente representado pelo momento presente. No que se refere às relações entre as categorias em análise, embora as línguas do corpus tenham mostrado sistemas bastante variados, foi possível estabelecer algumas regularidades: i) os evidenciais ocorrem com maior frequência nos tempos passado e presente, especialmente com o primeiro, sendo sua expressão no futuro bastante rara; ii) o evidencial de percepção de evento ocorre praticamente... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Considering the expression of evidentiality as the source of information contained in a statement, the aim of this study is to determine what are the relations that the grammatical evidential subtypes establish with the tense category. Based on the Functional Discourse Grammar (FDG) theoretical-methodological approach, we investigated a number of 23 indigenous languages from Brazil where evidentiality and tense are mandatory categories, since in those languages there is an interesting interplay between the categories of tense and evidentiality. The evidential subtypes were classified according to the typology proposed by Hengeveld and Dall'Aglio-Hattnher (2012) that identifies the following subtypes: event perception, deduction, inference and reportative evidentiality. In relation to the occurrence of evidential subtypes, reportativity and event perception were the most common, followed by deduction and later by inference. Regarding the expression on tense, a great amount of the indigenous languages from the corpus divides tense into past, present and future, existing still some languages that express a binary division, as the opposition past/nonpast and future/nonfuture. In addition to these distinctions, the division also involves the temporal distinction between remoteness (immediate, recent, remote, distant) between the events and a reference point, usually represented by the present moment.
