Este trabalho objetivou identificar as múltiplas territorialidades da área que corresponde a parte da faixa de fronteira internacional do Brasil, entre o estado de Mato Grosso e parte da área oriental boliviana. Os dados estatísticos levantados na faixa de fronteira envolvem as unidades municipais situadas na faixa de 150 km a partir da linha demarcatória brasileira. Para operacionalização do trabalho, partimos da base territorial do Arco Central e das correspondentes sub-regiões, definidas no Programa de Promoção do Desenvolvimento da Faixa de Fronteira (PDFF). Os dados auferidos são resultados tanto de coleta junto a órgãos públicos quanto de aplicação de questionários nas instituições que representam o Estado no recorte fronteiriço e as observações efetuadas em levantamentos de campo. Os dados permitem verificar, na faixa de fronteira brasileira, os contrastes substanciais entre as sub-regiões e o conjunto dos municípios que a integram. Por fim, identificamos que a área fronteiriça é marcada por expressiva diversidade e contradições territoriais resultantes dos diferentes processos de reprodução socioeconômica que geraram estruturas produtivas com características específicas ditadas, de um lado, pela sua herança sociocultural, e do outro, pela lógica do desenvolvimento capitalista que de forma seletiva e desigual tem permeado esse recorte espacial / Abstract: The Border relations between Brazil and Bolivia show inter-scale interactions in their border areas resulting in contrasts and convergences of multiple factors of economic, political, and cultural. This study aimed to identify the multiple territorialities of the area that corresponds to the range of Brazilian international border, between the state of Mato Grosso and part of the eastern area of Bolivia. Data collection at the border involved municipal unities of a 150 km area from the Brazilian borders. The work started at the territorial base of the Central Arc and the correspondent sub-regions, which were defined by the Program of Border Strip Development Promotion (PDFF, in Portuguese). The surveyed data were taken from statistic information, questionnaires, prefectures and institutions that represent the state borders and the state's observations and field surveys. From the data, it was possible to verify that on the Brazilian border there are substantial contrasts among sub-regions and municipalities. Brazil- Bolivia cross-border relations evidence 'interscale' interactions in border areas. Lastly, it was found that the border area is characterized by significant territorial diversity and contradictions, which result from different socioeconomic reproduction processes that have generated productive structures with specific characteristics - dictated, on the one hand, by their sociocultural heritage, and on the other, by the logics of capitalist development that selectively and unequally has permeated this spatial area / Doutor
