O tema se torna relevante a partir do momento em que se constata a importância da questão sustentabilidade e das pesquisas realizadas como foco em GHRM e GSCM e em contrapartida a escassez de propostas na literatura no que se refere ao relacionamento desses dois grandes temas no contexto das Instituições de Ensino Superior. Por meio da fundamentação teórica identificou-se e analisou-se pesquisas dos temas e práticas de GHRM e GSCM, as contribuições e integração dessas áreas, e identificou-se a ausência de trabalhos que integrassem GHRM e GSCM nas Instituições de Ensino Superior. Esta pesquisa foi do tipo qualitativa, com um estudo exploratório realizado com base em entrevistas em profundidade com especialistas da área de Compras de Instituições Públicas de Ensino Superior do Estado de São Paulo. Um framework metodológico é proposto para a análise dos resultados. As análises dos resultados obtidos demonstraram ser nula ou insipiente a aplicação de práticas de compras sustentáveis nas Instituições Públicas de Ensino Superior investigadas - a realização de treinamentos se mostra pontual, e rara, mas vista como fonte de potencial melhoria - e indicam uma co-evolução entre compras sustentáveis, treinamento ambiental e maturidade ambiental, uma vez que identificou-se nas IES analisadas um alinhamento entre os níveis de adoção d... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This research aims to investigate the relation between environmental practices and adoption of Substainable Procurement in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The subject becomes relevant the moment we see the importance of the issue substainability and the research carried out focusing on Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) and, in contrast, the lack of proposals in the literature regarding the relation between these two major issues in the context of Higher Education Institutions. The theoretical framework has identified and analyzed the research regarding the theme and the practices of GHRM and GSCM, the contributions and integration of these areas, and identified the absence of studies that integrate (GHRM and GSCM in Higher Education Institutions. The research had a qualitative approach with an exploratory study conducted based on interviews with experts in Procurement Departments of Higher Education Public Institutions of the State of Sao Paulo. A methodological framework is proposed for the analysis of results. However, such analysis of results proved to be void or incipient Implementing Sustainable Procurement practices in the Researched Institutions - the performance of training was shown as punctual, and rare, but considered as a potential source of improvement - and indicate a co-evolution among sustainable procurement, environmental training and environemental maturity, since it was identified in the analyzed HEIs an alignment between the adoption of sustainable procurement and the environmental training.
