Orientador: Arlindo Rebechi / Banca: Marcelo Magalhães Bulhões / Banca: Mateus Araújo Silva / Resumo: Esta pesquisa pretende investigar os efeitos de recepção e a produção de sentido gerada pelos primeiros três filmes longas-metragens do cineasta brasileiro Júlio Bressane: Cara a cara (1967), Matou a família e foi ao cinema (1969) e O anjo nasceu (1969), que foram produzidos em meio a um cenário conflituoso, em constante transformação e em plena Ditadura Militar, com destaque para a Tropicália e o Cinema Novo que, dentre outros movimentos engajados, dialogaram com a cinematografia do cineasta. O problema da pesquisa é fomentado pela discussão acerca da presença de uma crise formal (XAVIER, 2012) e narrativa (PARENTE, 2000) pertencente às obras, capazes de influenciar a produção de sentidos dos filmes e, consequentemente, afetar a recepção do espectador alterando, por sua vez, sua postura diante da obra audiovisual. Daí a suspeita do surgimento de uma mudança na experiência de recepção entre as ações da hegemonia do cinema (KRACAUER, 2009) em contraponto a um olhar mais apurado e sensível. Tal questão parte do pressuposto de que a linguagem subversiva, tanto estética quanto narrativa adotada pelo cineasta, influencia a percepção do espectador deslocando-o para uma posição mais ativa e pensante. Além dos teóricos já citados, trabalharemos também com as ideias de Bernardet (1991), Teixeira (1995), Xavier (2007a), Favaretto (2007), Dunn (2009) e Ramos (1987), dentre outros, que nos ajudarão a desvendar a complexidade do cinema em questão. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This research aims to investigate the effects of reception and production of meaning generated by the first three feature films by brazilian filmmaker Júlio Bressane: Cara a Cara (Face to Face) (1967), Matou a família e foi ao cinema (Killed his family and went to the cinema) (1969) and O anjo nasceu (The Angel was born) (1969), produced among of a conflicting scenario, constantly changing and during the military dictatorship exactly, hihglighting the Tropicália and Cinema Novo (New Cinema) which, among other engaged movement, dialogued with the cinematography of the director listed before here. The problem of this researh is about an formal crisis (XAVIER, 2012) and narrative (PARENTE, 2000) able to influence the production of meanings of the film and consequently affect the reception of the viewer. Hence the suspicion of the appearance of a reception experience changed between the actions of the hegemony of cinema (Kracauer, 2009) in constrast to a more accurate and sensitive look. Such question would came of the assumption that the subversive language, aesthetic and narrative adopted by the filmmaker, could influence the perception of the viewer moving him to a more active and thoughful position. In addition to the theoretical already mentioned, we will also work with Bernadet (1991) ideas, Teixeira (1995) and Xavier (2007a), among other researchers of the workof Bressane. Favaretto (2007) and Dunn (2009) will be cited in order to trace references to filmmaker approaches with Tropicália, besides Ramos (1987), among others, that will help us to unravel the complexity of this cinema. The methodology, by the way, will be grounded by the theoretical review of essayistic character under the spot of the cinematographic studies, combined with a structural analysis according to the assumptions of Jullier and Marie (2009), Vanoy and Gogliot - lete (2014), Aumont (2013) and Tarin (2006) / Mestre
