Orientador: Luciana Maria Lunardi Campos / Banca: Alessandra Aparecida Viveiro / Banca: Renato Eugenio da Silva Diniz / Resumo: A pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar as dificuldades encontradas por professores no ensino dos conteúdos de Biologia, as causas dessas dificuldades, a forma como lidam com elas e como entendem que podem ser sanadas, considerando-se as condições atuais que afetam o trabalho docente. O professor de Biologia é responsável pelo ensino dos conceitos biológicos, e é preciso que ele tenha sólido conhecimento do conteúdo específico e pedagógico, para que possa ensinar e favorecer a aprendizagem. Porém, existem dificuldades, como a jornada exaustiva de trabalho, a falta de conhecimentos prévios dos alunos, a complexidade dos conteúdos, o tempo das aulas, entre outros, que afetam diretamente sua prática docente e dificultam o processo de ensino e de aprendizagem. Esta é uma pesquisa de caráter qualitativo, que contou com a participação de dezesseis professores efetivos da disciplina de Biologia da rede estadual de um município do interior do estado de São Paulo. Num primeiro momento, os participantes responderam a um questionário sobre as dificuldades no ensino dos conteúdos de Biologia do Ensino Médio e num segundo momento, de modo a aprofundar os dados, foi realizada entrevista com três participantes da etapa anterior. Os dados revelam que os professores têm maior dificuldade em determinados conteúdos de ensino da Biologia e a origem dessa dificuldade passa por campos diversos (condições de trabalho, currículo, formação continuada, interesse e motivação do aluno, etc.). (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The research had as objective to identify the difficulties encountered by the teacher during the teaching of the contents of Biology, the causes of these difficulties, the way the teacher deals with them and how understands that they can be healed, considering the current conditions that affect the teaching work. The biology teacher is responsible for teaching of biological concepts and must have solid knowledge of the specific and pedagogical content to provide a good teaching practice and promote learning. However, there are difficulties, such as the exhaustive work day, the lack of previous knowledge of the students, the complexity of the contents, the time of classes, among others, that directly affect it's teaching practice and make difficult the teaching and learning process. This is a qualitative research, which was attended by sixteen tenured professors of Biology in country town of state of Sao Paulo that at first answered a questionnaire about the difficulties with the teaching of High School Biology content. In order to deepen the data, in a second moment occurred an interview with three participants from the previous step. The data show that teachers have greater difficulty with certain educational content of biology and the origin of this difficulty goes through several fields (working conditions, curriculum, initial and continuing training, interest and motivation of the student, etc).
