Apesar do grande atrativo oferecido pelos programas de recreação em hotéis, ainda pode ser percebida a evasão de crianças, as quais, não raro, preferem dedicar tempo ao uso de tecnologias virtuais, mesmo tendo oportunidades de participarem desses programas dentro dos hotéis. Na perspectiva de motivar maior participação nesses programas, tornou-se instigante desenvolver a proposta de inserção de atividades as quais façam uso de tecnologias virtuais no âmbito da recreação hoteleira, apresentando novos estímulos para atender às expectativas dessas crianças. Porém, nem sempre os pais compartilham os mesmos interesses que seus filhos. Portanto, esse estudo, de natureza qualitativa, teve por objetivo investigar as expectativas e aceitação dos pais de crianças entre 6 e 12 anos, a respeito da inserção de atividades que façam uso de tecnologias virtuais, em um programa de atividades recreativas realizados em hotéis situados no Circuito das Águas Paulista. O estudo aliou pesquisas bibliográfica e exploratória, utilizando questionário misto como instrumento para coleta de dados, aplicado a uma amostra intencional composta por pais de crianças participantes de programa de recreação em hotéis, no qual foram inseridos exergames (videogames ativos, com movimentos corporais) e atividades recreativas usualmente utilizadas na recreação hoteleira, como o caça ao tesouro, o qual foi remasterizado utilizando WhatsApp.... Despite the great appeal of hotel recreation programs, it is still possible to see the evasion of children who often prefer to spend time using virtual technologies, even though they have opportunities to participate in such programs within hotels. In order to motivate a greater participation in these programs it has become intriguing to develop the proposal of insertion of activities that make use of virtual technologies in the scope of hotel recreation presenting new stimuli to meet the expectations of these children. However, parents not always share the same interests as their children. Therefore, this qualitative study aimed to investigate the expectations and acceptance from parents of children between 6 and 12 years old regarding the insertion of activities that make use of virtual technologies in a program of recreational activities carried out in hotels located In the Circuito das Águas Paulista. The study allied bibliographic and exploratory research using a mixed questionnaire as instrument for data collection, applied to an intentional sample composed of parents of children participating in a hotel recreation program in which exergames (active video games, with body movements) were inserted and Recreational activities usually used in hotel recreation, such as the treasure hunt which was remastered using WhatsApp. Data were descriptively analyzed using Content Analysis technique and the categories of analysis were priori established.
