Orientador: Hilda Maria Gonçalves da Silva / Resumo: As mudanças contemporâneas na Política Educacional Brasileira, especialmente no tocante à ampliação do acesso de segmentos de baixa renda nas Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior – IFES vêm provocando uma intervenção sistemática de ações que possibilitam a permanência desses estudantes nas universidades e institutos federais. Entre essas ações, destaca-se o Programa Nacional de Assistência Estudantil ‒ PNAES. O estudo em questão tem como objetivo principal analisar a política de assistência estudantil no âmbito da Universidade Federal de Goiás ‒ UFG, a partir do PNAES. No que tange aos objetivos específicos, ressaltam-se as políticas públicas, com ênfase na política educacional a partir da década de 1990; a construção de um panorama histórico da UFG, com recorte entre os anos 2006 e 2016, intentando depreender os desafios, as possibilidades e os avanços da política de assistência estudantil implementada pela UFG. Quanto à metodologia, a pesquisa está pautada pela abordagem qualiquantitativa, na qual inicialmente foi apresentado o estudo exploratório, por meio da revisão bibliográfica, viabilizada pelo diálogo com [ALTAFIN (2010); BEHRING e BOSCHETTI (2006); IAMAMOTO (2007, 2014, 2015); KLAUS (2000); LIBÂNEO (2009) e SHIROMA (2011)], com pesquisas acerca das temáticas: Políticas Públicas e Educacionais; Educação; Ações Afirmativas e Serviço Social, buscando desvelar a realidade estudada. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The contemporary changes in the Brazilian Educational Policy, especially regarding the increase of access of low income segments in the Federal Institutions of Higher Education - IFES, have provoked a systematic intervention of actions that allow the permanence of these students in the universities and federal institutes. Among these actions, the National Student Assistance Program (PNAES) stands out. The main objective of this study is to analyze the student assistance policy at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), based on the PNAES.
