<p>We must all take our responsibility to our common environment, we have to make sure that the following generation is guaranteed a healthy and good environment. Swedens universities have a significant role too achieve this. Environment questions have to integrate in the educa¬tion as a compulsory element, then more people will have an increased comprehension for the influence we have ion the environment. . </p><p> </p><p>My degree project have I decided to do about the environmental work at Halmstad University. It concentrates mainly on creating a brochure to make visible the environmental work for the students. This is to get the students more involved in the environmental work, I created a questionnaire that showed how much the students knew about the environmentally work on the university. I then used the questionnary answers as a base for the brochure. The degree project contains also a short summary of 24 Swedish universities environmentally work to see how they work with the environment questions.</p><p>The degree project has concluded with a number of suggestions how Halmstad University could a better organization within the environmental area. One suggestion is that an employee per section/unit would be appointed as an environment representative. That person would among other things run the environmental questions on that person’s section/unit and work as an informative channel between the environmental coordinater and the staff. </p><p>The environmental work must also reach out to the students. Today there is not many of the universities students involved in the environmental work. An environmental coordinator towards the students would be a good solution. . </p><p> </p><p>No large financial efforts would be needed to get a better environmental work at Halmstad University.</p>
